The Juniors Debate Club is a highly-selective club that aims to empower students with the skills of expressing their ideas clearly and concisely, speaking in a formal setting, and staying up to date on world news. Students of all abilities will be able to develop their oracy skills in a fun environment while becoming more knowledgeable about political and global affairs. We strive to offer highly motivated and hardworking students a challenging and rewarding debate experience, and our goal is to teach top-notch critical and strategic thinking skills, high-quality research and argument production, and to develop articulate leaders for the future. These pedagogical objectives further produce competitive debate teams.  We aim to create a teamwork environment in which students learn both from the success and improvement of their peers. Yes! In fact, we aim to encourage students to diversify their co-curricular experience and thus uphold our motto, "Courage to Speak.”!
